There comes a strange moment in the life of a book when something that has existed privately for so long suddenly receives a date.
A real date.
A point on the calendar when the doors open and the story no longer belongs only to the person writing it.
For The Arcane Odyssey: Book One, The Awakening, that moment is October 2026.
Where the Odyssey Begins
The Awakening introduces readers to Zamaria Zephyr and the world surrounding Zephyr's Books & Curiosities.
What begins among books, family, and familiar streets gradually opens into something far older and considerably larger.
Magic in Zamaria's world has history.
It has traditions.
It has divisions.
It has people who have spent generations deciding where its boundaries should lie.
Zamaria is about to discover that boundaries are not always as permanent as they appear.
At the center of that discovery is a mysterious Star-Mark and questions whose answers reach into parts of magical history that have not remained forgotten by accident.
A Story About What We Inherit
Fantasy gives us dragons, spells, prophecies, impossible landscapes, ancient artifacts, and all the things that make turning another page irresistible.
But underneath the magic, I have always been interested in something more human.
What do we do with the systems we inherit?
What happens when tradition and truth are not necessarily the same thing?
What happens when someone discovers that the choices presented to them are not the only choices that exist?
Those questions live beneath The Awakening.
You do not need to know the answers before entering the story.
Neither does Zamaria.
The Road to Release
Between now and October, Zephyr's will continue opening its doors.
You will meet characters from the story, explore spoiler-safe corners of the world, see more from behind the creation of the series, and discover new pieces of The Arcane Odyssey through this journal.
There will be plenty of time for secrets later.
For now, there is one date to remember.
October 2026.
The first book is almost here.
And the Odyssey is about to begin.
