Terms of Service — The Arcane Codex app

You must be at least 13 years old. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian should review these Terms with you and must approve any purchase. We may block access when the age screen shows a user is under 13.

You’re responsible for your account and for keeping your login private. Tell us right away if you think someone else is using it. You can delete your account at any time in Settings or at /arcane-codex/delete-account.

Star Shards, Duel Marks, power-ups, boosters, hero cards, Grimoires, lives and other in-game items (“Virtual Items”) are a limited, personal, revocable license to use inside the App. They have no cash value, can’t be exchanged for real money or goods, and can’t be sold, transferred or traded. Duel Marks can’t be bought with real money. We may change, rebalance or retire Virtual Items and game features at any time.

Purchases are made through Google Play, and Google Play’s terms and refund policy apply. Except as required by law or by Google Play’s refund policy, all purchases are final. Virtual Items are delivered right after purchase, and you may lose the right to cancel once delivery begins, where the law allows. Prices may change. The drop rates for random items are shown in the App before you buy.

Don’t cheat, use bots or exploits, modify the App, interfere with other players, or pick a display name that’s offensive, impersonates someone, or includes personal information. We may rename, suspend or remove accounts that break these rules, and remove Virtual Items gained by breaking them.

Events, duels, leaderboards and Affinity Wars give in-game rewards only. Nothing in the App is a wager of real money or a prize of real-world value.

The App, The Arcane Odyssey, its characters, story, art, music and branding belong to Katey Rae, LLC and Obsidian Media Group, LLC, or their licensors. You may not copy, sell, adapt or use them to train or promote another product without written permission.

We may update the App and these Terms. If we make a significant change, we’ll tell you in the App. The App may be interrupted, changed or discontinued. If we shut it down, we’ll try to give at least 30 days’ notice.

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or Virtual Items. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts in Colorado, unless the law where you live gives you other rights.
